The Story Behind the Tough Detailed Together Shirt Taking Over Eagles Training Camp

If you have been following the start of Eagles training camp, there is a good chance you have already seen it.

Three words across the front of a shirt being worn by players and coaches throughout the facility:

Tough. Detailed. Together.

It has been popping up throughout camp, but perhaps nobody has worn it more consistently than Jalen Hurts. The Eagles quarterback has been seen arriving at practice in the shirt, working throughout the day, and putting it back on as practice wraps up.

And if you have been wondering where the shirt came from, here is the story.

Philly Sports Shirts Is the Brand Behind the Design

The Tough Detailed Together shirt was designed and produced right here by Philly Sports Shirts.

Unlike most of our releases, this one was never originally planned as something we would sell to the public.

The idea came from Nick Sirianni's assistant, Cole Peterson, who approached us about creating a shirt built around three words that have become a major part of the culture inside the Eagles organization.

Cole brought us the concept. We handled the artwork, design and production.

The original plan was simple: make something specifically for the players and coaches.

Then training camp started.

From a Team-Only Shirt to Something Eagles Fans Wanted

Once the shirts started showing up around camp, people noticed.

Players were wearing them. Coaches were wearing them. Photos started making their way around social media. Fans started asking questions.

And Jalen Hurts continued showing up in his.

Seeing the starting quarterback wearing the design to begin and finish practice each day made the shirt especially recognizable. What started as a behind-the-scenes project for the team quickly became something Eagles fans wanted for themselves.

After hearing the feedback from both inside the organization and from fans, we decided to do something we had not originally planned.

We opened the release to everyone for a limited time.

What Does "Tough Detailed Together" Mean?

The design itself is intentionally simple because the words are the story.

Tough. Detailed. Together. are three of Nick Sirianni's core values for the team.

They are not just words printed on a T-shirt. The message can be seen throughout the Eagles facilities, including the locker room and weight room, as a constant reminder of the standard the team is trying to live by every day.

• Tough: Bring the physical and mental toughness required to compete.
• Detailed: Pay attention to the little things that can decide a play, a practice or a game.
• Together: Everybody pulling in the same direction.

That meaning was exactly why we wanted the artwork to stay clean and let the message carry the design. There did not need to be anything complicated about it.

Three words. Three core values. One standard.

A Different Kind of Philly Sports Shirts Release

We create a lot of original artwork at Philly Sports Shirts, but this one is definitely different for us.

It is pretty surreal seeing something that started as a conversation and a design project here at the shop now being worn throughout Eagles training camp.

Seeing coaches in it is awesome. Seeing different players wearing it is awesome. And seeing Jalen Hurts make it part of his everyday training camp routine has made this release even more special.

Most importantly, it gives fans a chance to wear the exact message they have been seeing around the team to start the season.
